Scientific research points out the advantages of working outdoors. Because working outdoor makes us happy. These results where confirmed in the research that one of our founders did during his time at University. Out of the 200 people interviewed on their perception of working outdoors, 95% of them indicated that they want to work outdoors at least once a week. Exactly that statistic sparked the idea for Out Of Office.

Despite 95% of people indicate they want to work outdoor at least once a week, reality shows that almost no-one does so. This because it is often perceived as unprofessional. Nobody wants to be the person working outdoor while colleagues are speaking behind your back about your lack of professionality?
Luckily there are already some companies with a culture in which working outdoor is accepted. Yet, we see that these companies never have decent infrastructure to facilitate productive work outside. The current outdoor infrastructure is mainly meant for eating or taking breaks outdoor (picknick bench) but never intentionally designed to facilitate productive working.
Due to the lack of infrastructure people complain about sun reflecting on their laptop screen, papers flying away in the wind and empty batteries.
